Family and Children's Aid

The mission of the grantee: To provide access to quality behavioral health care for children, adolescents, and their families. Waterbury, CT.

The purpose of the grant funding will allow Family and Children's Aid to work with families, government agencies, schools and other key players to create individual goals with clear expectations for each child, and to monitor their progress. For many years, their Center has addressed the behavioral health needs of children, adolescents, and their families before they get to a crisis point and require emergency room visits or hospitalization.

"Each of our community based services is very unique in its area of focus and treatment model. Some of these services provide in-home support and treatment for the entire family where the child is residing, others provide supervised visitation and reunification for DCF-protected youth. Our Child Advocacy Center provides support to children and families who have been through significant trauma and abuse, including specialized and sensitive investigation services."
