On Tuesday, June 6th a group of women and men joined our Rosh Chodesh Program with singer and songwriter Ellen Allard, who used songs to help her describe her Jewish journey. We also celebrated Cantor Penny Kessler who is retiring from her position as Senior Cantor of United Jewish Center of Danbury. 

 

Ellen and Cantor Kessler, who have known one another for many years, treated the group to a couple of duets as well. It was an enchanted evening with beautiful Jewish melodies as well as tales of the past.
