Thank you to everyone who came out and supported during our Dignity Grows Packing Party alongside B'nai Israel Sisterhood!
This community-wide, intergenerational program addressed the issue of Period Poverty. Each participant packed tote bags with feminine hygiene products, which were donated to Safe Haven of Waterbury.
Our guest speaker, Louisa Printz, Community Prevention Education Coordinator of Safe Haven, discussed the organization’s mission and the importance and necessity of these bags. Once the bags were filled, the party continued with small bites, mocktails, and music provided by DJ Lucas!
