The Jewish Federation of Western CT was proud to be one of the sponsors for Thursday, May 9, 2024 program, “How October 7 Changed Israel and the Jewish World” with guest speaker, Yossi Klein Halevi.

The program was kicked off, with a rally, outside the Federation Building, with 70 plus people waving Israeli flags and carrying posters of the hostages with the words, “Let My People Go”, all of which was coordinated by the Israel Advocacy Committee, under the leadership of Dan Goodman.
 

The rally continued with the singing of songs; prayers recited and community members sharing inspiring, thought-provoking facts on the Hostage Crisis and support for Israel.
 

The program continued inside the Federation building, with Yossi Klein Halevi, one of the most impactful speakers, when it comes to addressing the challenges facing Israel. In these troubling times, it was important for our community to have the opportunity to hear what Yossi Klein Halevi had to say on the situation in the Middle East.
