Last week, the Federation’s Regional Security Advisor, Mike Shanbrom, conducted a “Stop the Bleed” training for members of Congregation B’nai Israel in Danbury. The Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut contracted with SCN, the organization charged with enhancing the security of the Jewish Community in North America, to hire Mike to advise all of the Jewish institutions in our Federation communities on all security matters. Our Federation is very proud to be one of the few small Federations across the country which has made the financial commitment to provide this essential service to our entire community at no cost to our institutions.
