The mission of the grantee: To serve every person who appears at their door with a hot meal and a piece of fresh fruit. Danbury, CT. 

The purpose of the grant funding is to promote healthy eating by purchasing fresh fruit to be included in every meal. Approximately 30% of the fruit is donated. The remainder must be purchased at a cost of approximately $10,000 per year.
