The mission of the grantee is to promote sustainable agriculture, local food and active healthy lifestyles! Litchfield, CT

The purpose of the grant funding is to provide locally grown food from NW CT farms to the Litchfield Hills Meals on Wheels (MOW) in order to make locally sourced fresh produce available to the senior population in NW CT while also supporting local farms.

SHC functions as an umbrella organization for a variety of programs that promote sustainable agriculture, local food, and active, healthy lifestyles. Through these programs, we hope to inspire people to think more about these important issues, and empower them to make positive changes that transform their lives and communities.
